What do you need from us?

Names, contact details, date, time, type and venue of ceremony if available.

Will we meet you before the day?

Yes, definitely.  Depending on the type of ceremony, Michelle will meet with you at least twice before the Ceremony

Do we have a Wedding Rehearsal Ceremony?

Yes, a wedding rehearsal ceremony will take place and is usually within the final week of your wedding on a day and time to suit.

For a Wedding Ceremony, how do we write our vows, will you help?

Michelle will provide guidance and examples for you to choose from or you can write your own.

What would you say your style is as a Celebrant?

Michelle wants you to achieve the ceremony that full fills all your wishes and requirements.  

Michelle is a qualified and experienced celebrant who helps couples, families and communities by creating and conducting ceremonies that recognise and celebrate significant events, milestones and values. She gives full creative expression to the powerful and special emotions of the occasion and the ceremony will clearly focus on the lives of those at their centre.  Michelle will also ensure she connects with all those attending at a very human and emotional level. 

Do you think the law in Guernsey will change in Guernsey so we can legally marry outside?

The law in Guernsey will change.  At the moment I am unable to confirm when that will be so with that in mind it is advisable to book a date with the appropriate authority to full fill the legal requirement of your marriage. As things progress through the States of Guernsey we will keep this page updated with any news.

How do you personalise a ceremony?

This is the most exciting and rewarding element to the ceremony script writing. 

Michelle will meet with with you, get to know you, ask questions and let you talk to her about your lives, the important people in them and your wishes and requirements. 

She will then take time to write a story about your lives or the life of the deceased. Her aim is to capture the very essence of the lives of the people or person she is talking about. 

Every ceremony is written from scratch and will be totally significant to the people involved and represent their beliefs and desires.

Can we have a religious element?

Yes you can.  Michelle will discuss this when she meets you and full consideration will be made to what is important to you and your family. 

What will you wear?

Michelle will also dress appropriately for the occasion of the ceremony.

For a wedding ceremony she will always ask for colour schemes prior to the ceremony so she compliments rather than clashes.

Will you work with the musician on timing etc?

Michelle will work with the musicians contracted for the occasion.  She will liaise with them and also provide them with a copy of the script so they can follow the ceremony and know when there is an interval for music.
